Although contortionists, snake charmers and barrel organ players have long been forgotten in the world of public performance, street entertainment still thrives today (Well, it did up until June 2020 or there about).
In Barcelona, of all the things that can be taken in on foot—Gaudí’s legacy, Catalan Modernisme, the Gothic quarter, living statues and caricaturists on La Rambla—also to be admired are the transit musicians who twang, harmonise or serenade, wherever permitted, to any strolling flâneur or rubbernecking tourist.

Way back in July 2003 was when The Plowkings commenced their busking career, although they did also actively perform in various bars, functions and parties.
You could literally pitch up on most street corners and rock it out.
As time progressed over the years the city's metro station tunnels become the main hot spots to perform.
The typical busking evening would be a Friday or Saturday night. It would usually start with the consumption of a few cheeky Voll Damms and spliffs and pretty much continue throughout the rest of the evening.
Whist playing and chatting or chatting and playing, there was a plethora of crazy shit to be witnessed. Drunks, thieves, louts, pimps, hookers, this, that, the next thing and lots of semi normal people would wander by fulfilling their missions for that particular evening. You couldn't write half of it.
The Plowkings had a great spell of performing down the tube stations between 2013 to 2015.

There was about 5 hours worth of songs (Including fuck ups, conversations, weird noises and banter recorded). A lot of it was complete drunken sloppyness and a lot of it was good.
Fortunately all the tracks featuring on this compilation were the latter.

At the end of February 2016 The Plowking's busking career suddenly and abruptly ended when some snake grassed them up for not having a Street Performers permit and they received a whopping fine. A whop bop-a-lu a whop bam boo!!
